The Cronus Zen is compatible with all models of PlayStation 5*, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The Zen also connects to a Windows PC with full Xbox emulation. Legacy compatibility is also provided for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, as well as many Android devices (requires an OTG cable).

*PlayStation 5 games require two different boot methods depending on the game – PS4 SPECIALITY or PS REMOTE PLAY. If the game boots using the PS4 SPECIALITY method, a licensed third-party PS4 controller is required. We recommend the HORI PS4 Mini-Pad controller.

Absolutely! We have worked hard to ensure that the newest and most popular controllers are supported, and we will continue to do so as new ones arrive on the market. We have focused on the most popular licensed brands such as Razer, Scuf, Nacon, Astro and of course the new Xbox Elite Series 2 – which features both USB and wireless adapter support.

Using third-party devices with any online service always carries a risk, so there is no guarantee. As unlikely as it may be, it is always possible to be banned or blocked at any time without notice or warning.

However, the Cronus connects to your console using an original licensed controller, so the console always believes you are playing with a controller intended for the console being used (for example, you can use an Xbox Elite S2 controller on a PS4, or a mouse and keyboard on an Xbox Series X).

The Cronus only replicates button presses/movements of buttons, sticks and triggers using scripts or “macros” that allow you to connect any compatible controller to any supported console. The Cronus does not “hack” anything in the game or console, and does not allow you to do anything the game itself does not permit (such as AimBot or walking through walls – it is impossible for the Cronus to perform these types of hacks).

We wanted to create a mouse and keyboard experience on console that rivals the very best. A brand-new M&K software interface will change the way you play. The setup is highly intuitive and includes presets for the most popular games, with new additions on a regular basis. Most mouse and keyboard brands are automatically detected – simply set the polling rate and DPI, connect to the Zen, select your game profile and you are good to go!

You can use as many controllers as the console allows, however you can only use one controller per Cronus Zen at a time.

The Zen takes on the “identity” of a controller and digitally converts its signals to the controller you wish to use. For example, if you have an Xbox One, the Cronus Zen will take the identity of your Xbox One controller through the “Authentication” process. The security ID of that Xbox One controller is then stored in the Cronus Zen, so the Xbox One believes the Zen is actually the Xbox One controller. You can then connect any controller to the Zen and it will convert the controller signals to the console in real time. This allows you to use virtually any controller on any console.

If you wish to use multiple controllers for crossover or modding on the same console, you will need one Zen for each controller.

Note: For correct “Authentication”, the Cronus Zen requires an original licensed wired controller. You can find more information about Authentication, why it is necessary and how it works in the Cronus Zen user guide.

VIRTUALLY ALL OF THEM. The Cronus Zen works with all games, with the exception of a few PS5 games that do not support “PS4 Speciality Mode”.

Yes! The Cronus Zen supports Bluetooth for PlayStation controllers, Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, the Switch Pro Controller, the WiiMote and the wireless WiiU Pro Controller.

Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One controllers do not support Bluetooth, but they are compatible with the Xbox Wireless Adapter (sold separately).

Yes! Wired and wireless Xbox One and PS4 headsets are supported, and they can connect directly to your controller. We have even added CROSSOVER AUDIO support, allowing you to use your Xbox One headset, connected to an Xbox One controller, which is itself connected to a PlayStation 4 with zero lag, making the Cronus Zen the world’s first device to offer this unique feature.

All Bluetooth features are built directly into the device to provide you with a completely seamless and cost-effective experience. There are no hidden expensive accessories. However, we recommend Xbox One controller users use the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for optimal wireless performance, as it supports more features than Bluetooth.

Yes! Cronus is a community product, built by modders for modders. The GPC library and the thriving Cronus community exist thanks to the contributions of the scripting and modding scene that has grown around Cronus and the GPC language. The GamePacks and the GPC library will always be free at Cronus.

Additionally, the Cronus Marketplace offers free and paid scripts, with premium options created by hand-picked community members to support their work.

YES, absolutely. Cronus warrants its product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, upon presentation of the receipt. During the warranty period, Cronus will repair or replace the product if it is found to be defective. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Zen Studio is a Windows-only application, however you can run Windows on a Mac using the free BootCamp tool. The Cronus Zen has been successfully tested on Mac with this setup.
